Barry J. Simon attended Loyola Law
School in Los
Angeles, graduating in 1978 with a Juris Doctor
Degree in Law. He volunteered for
Public Counsel while in Law School
and worked on an important environmental case which attempted to stop the
development of forest land involving the City of Los
Angeles and he clerked for a Superior Court
Judge. He received his undergraduate
degree from California State
University at Long
Beach, California where he
majored in sociology. Mr. Simon is
admitted to practice law in all state and federal courts in California. He has represented clients in states across
the United States.
Mr. Simon has broad based legal experience in litigation with an emphasis
in personal injury. His experience is
unique because he has both a defense and plaintiff perspective. After passing the bar in 1979, Mr. Simon
initially went to work for two insurance defense firms. While at these firms, he discovered as he
states, “insurance companies don’t care about people, only about making
money”. This prompted him to become a
personal injury lawyer representing victims and consumers. He has never looked back and always takes
great pride in the decision. This
makes him an aggressive litigator in protecting the rights of the
injured. He believes in diligence and
fairness and actively prosecuting the rights of those injured through no
fault of their own. He has been a
volunteer Settlement Officer and Arbitrator for the Superior Courts in Los
Angeles helping to facilitate the resolution of
