Since 1979, Attorney Barry J. Simon has proudly helped thousands of injured people throughout California and nationwide obtain settlements for their injuries. After graduating from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles (J.D., 1978), Mr. Simon worked for two insurance defense firms. While there, he discovered "insurance companies don’t care about people, only about making money.”
This realization prompted him to "switch sides" and become a personal injury lawyer representing victims and consumers. Because he understands the methods insurance companies use to intimidate and confuse, Mr. Simon takes great pride in aggressive litigation to protect the rights of the injured. He believes in diligence and fairness and actively prosecuting the rights of those injured through no fault of their own. He has been a volunteer Settlement Officer and Arbitrator for the Superior Courts in Los Angeles helping to facilitate the resolution of cases. Mr. Simon only takes cases he believes in and keeps a small caseload so he can give his clients the personal attention they deserve. He also takes on cases that will benefit the public at large such as a 911 case in Los Angeles which had an impact on improving the medical emergency system.
