If you are involved in an accident and the at fault driver causes you to have a herniated
disc either in your neck (cervical) or low back (lumbar) then your case is worth a
significant amount of money, typically in the 6 figure range. But be sure you see a
spine specialist (neurosurgeon or orthopedic surgeon) not just a chiropractor. You
need a specialist.
These type of injuries can be excruciatingly painful. From my experience the typical protocol is first chiropractic or physical therapy, then epidural injections and
if they don't work (which they almost always don't because they supply temporary relief) then surgery is indicated.
