If You Cause An Accident

If you are involved in an accident and the accident is your fault, you need to call your carrier right away and tell them what happened. They have a duty to help you and to defend you. Be sure to get at the accident scene any evidence to support your

defense including damage to the vehicles involved, a police report, witnesses, etc. . .

If you are turning left when the accident occurred, left turners are usually considered the cause of an accident but if the driver proceeding straight was speeding or in the far lane and everyone else stopped in the other lanes proceeding in the other driver's direction, then you may have a good case against the other driver for not paying attention. Remember to also call a lawyer especially if you are injured and seek medical attention asap after the accident.
